Can't Open an Excel Email Attachment? Solutions

Problem 1: I have Excel 2003 (or earlier) and the attachment was created with Excel 2007 (or later).



Solution: Microsoft provides a free software compatability pack for Excel 2003 users so that they can open newer Excel files. The upgrade pack does not upgrade the functionality of the 2003 version, but it does allow you to open, modify, and save documents created with the 2007 version.
